Juneau

Juneau is the capital of Alaska with a population of 32,000. Juneau town itself didn’t appeal to us with it’s multitude of jewellery shops and drinking in public. However, we definitely recommend heading out of town to visit Mendenhall Glacier and also take the Mount Roberts Tramway. We saw Bald Eagles nesting up near the top of the tramway. The views are great from there ($20 return).
